Nikon D3100 14.2MP Digital SLR Camera was good, and took great pictures.
Then one month after purchase, during a once in a lifetime trip to California Joshua Tree Park, it just died. It does absolutely nothing, and YES the battery is fully charged, and NO it wasn’t dropped. I am extremely disappointed and my trip was ruined!
I don’t care if best buy gives me 10 new cameras, I will never get that trip back!

I bought Nikon D3100 14.2MP Digital SLR Camera for Christmas as my first SLR camera and while I was initially happy with it I soon learned that the D3100 lives up to just being an entry level SLR.

Pros:
- the camera takes great pictures in Manual mode.
- the video looks good

Cons:
- the camera takes sub-par pictures indoors in Auto or in any of the scene modes.

I purchased Nikon D3100 14.2MP Digital SLR Camera  to learn more about digital SLR photography. I am still learning camera is very user friendly. No complaints
